The Ayaneo 3 is presented, the world's first modular portable Windows console
Chinese gadget manufacturer Ayaneo has unveiled the Ayano 3, a modular portable Windows-based gaming console. The device boasts customizable controls and a powerful AMD processor.
The portable device has two processor options: AMD Ryazan 7 8840U and AMD Risen AI 9 HX 370. Configurations with 16/32/64 GB LPDDR 5 X RAM and SD up to 4 TB (PCIe 4.0) are available to choose from.
The novelty received a 7-inch display. There are OLED and LCD versions. The OLED model offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz, 800 nits brightness and 110% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, while the LCD version offers a refresh rate of 120 Hz, 500 nits brightness and VRRP support.
Another feature of the Ayaneo 3 is the removable Magic Module controllers, which resemble the Joy-Con in the Nintendo Switch. The manufacturer has counted 56 different combinations that can be assembled from the right keys. Other features include two—stage Hall effect triggers, two six-axis gyroscopes and customizable rear buttons, speakers with HyperSound 2.0, Windows 11 OS, two USB4 ports, an OCuLink interface and a microSD card slot. The console is powered by a 49 Wh battery with support for charging up to 65 watts.
In China, the base model with Ryzen 7 8840U, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of memory is priced at ~$700, while the top model with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, 64 GB of RAM and 4 TB of memory is priced at $2,100.
